I finally have had some time to take some pictures of my home... I want to invite you over, the tea is on and my music is playing come on in and have a visit...even if it has to be through the internet. This is the down-stairs (up-stairs is coming soon) it is not perfect but… when life throws you lemons MAKE LEMONADE! Everything I have came in boxes that had to fit under a certain weight...sent over oceans and continents...what a life! My dream home will have not one new piece of furniture…every piece bought used and refinished with love. But for now it comes from Ikea and odds and ends from around Nigeria.

Before and After: Stationary Desk. I got this furniture from a family who was leaving Nigeria...after a tad bit of loving it looks great! I am using it as my personal stationary cupboard...

Before and After: I bought this picture for ten cents at a garage sale. I painted and distressed the frame. I had found chalk sticker paper at a discount store in Canada, a whole roll was only four bucks. From what I used I calculates this chalk board cost a buck-fifty! Not bad for the price!

Thanks for the visit...come again soon!

    Dear Roger,

Tonight my goodnight is in the letters on this page. I missed you at every turn of the day. I missed our hour lunch; I missed your smile I missed the anticipation of our evening. I nearly missed the anniversary of two years travelling the world. Dear Roger, can it really be two years? This adventure has made our love sweet and strong. All the memories and thrills are etched into the story we share, the views of a new city, the notes of a foreign tongue, hidden kisses down a cobble stone road, tears of good-byes, the challenge of a new unfamiliar tomorrow. I love been whisked away by you into this adventure of travel!

    The road now leads onward
    And I know not where
    I feel in my heart
    That you will be there
    Whenever a storm comes
    Whatever our fears
    The journey goes on
    As your love ever nears

Here is my heart and I give it to you
Take me with you across this land
These are my dreams, so simple and so few
Dreams we hold in the palm of your hands
    Loreena McKennitt

I love you, my kisses await your return, peace be with you.

    It's Here!

Thanks for all your wishing... my shipment is finally here! It arrived at midnight on Saturday! It was a such a production...nothing goes as it seems here and you can not count on any ones word a common Nigerian saying is 'any time but now'! So it went with our shipment. I have everything put away...just the pictures need to be hung. It is nice to finally be able to reach my computer with out risking my life through the obstacle course of boxes!

So much is going on right now in our lives...now that my house is set up I can get back to blogging. I hope to get all caught up this week. So stay posted!

    xoxo
